To assist colleges and universities in creating an Environmental Management System (EMS) Program for your college/university, HRP Associates, Inc

. (HRP), and environmental engineering consulting firm, is offering a three-course EMS training series. Course One is being offered on May 9, 2012 in Hillsboro, Texas. Each course is designed to achieve the following:

Allow the attendees to concentrate on a few of the EMS elements at one time;

Provide workshops on key EMS elements to ensure attendees have a clear understanding of the EMS elements objective and scope; and

Space each course far apart to allow the attendees sufficient time to apply what they have learned in the previous course at their C/U.

What is Your Region 6 Audit Agreement Obligation?

Under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 6 Audit Agreement, your college/university (C/U) must create and implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) on campus including the participation in energy and water audits.

The Final Compliance Report (FCR) is submitted to EPA Region 6 at the end of your corrective action period. The FCR, which documents your corrective action activities, states that the campus will create and implement its EMS within 36 months of the submittal of the FCR.
