Strengths:

* The B24s has a spectacular shredding capacity. This device can shred as many as 24 sheets per pass so you'll be able to get rid of your documents in a hurry. Also, this machine can shred CD's, credit cards, and document fasteners so you can have a total shredding solution in just one device.

* This device can be shared by a couple of people. That's because it was designed for continuous use so you can shred throughout the day. The motor is thermally protected so it's unlikely to overheat. Plus, the machine has a 9-gallon waste bin so it can hold a good number of shreds.

* The B24s is equipped with a photo cell so it can begin shredding as soon as you place something in the feed opening. There's a reverse mode that will come in handy if the machine ever jams up on you.

* This is one of the most durable paper shredders currently on the market. For one thing, this machine has steel cutting rollers so you can shred a lot and they won't wear out. Also, the transmission gear is closed which helps reduce wear and tear overall. Finally, all of the machinery sits in closed housing which help cut down on dust.

* If you don't have a lot of space, the B24s might be right for you. It measures 12" (depth) x 15" (width) x 24" (depth) so it's great for small work areas.

* The B24s is covered by a 2-year warranty which hopefully you won't need to use. (It's there if you need it though.)

Weaknesses:

* Although the B24s can shred paper, CD's, and credit cards, it can't shred any other types of media such as floppy disks. If you want to shred these kind of things, you should get a multimedia shredder instead.

* The B24s is a strip-cut shredder that provides Level 2 security. Strip-cut machines simply don't offer as much security as their cross-cut cousins. Thus, this device may not be a good choice if you need an extremely high amount of security.

As you can see, the HSM Securio has both strengths and weaknesses. However, don't let the weaknesses scare you off. True, this shredder doesn't offer the highest amount of security, but it gives just the right amount for everyday shredding. Also, the fact that the device can handle CD's and credit cards make it a great choice for most offices. As for the strengths, there are many including the terrific shredding capacity. You'll find that this machine is very durable and that you'll be able to get a lot of use out of it. The warranty coverage is great, too. All together, the B24s is a top-notch shredder.
