Officially HTC HD7 is the first mobile phone to be launched in India that operates on windows 7 operating system platform

. The phone was launched towards the end of the year 2010 and it was launched courtesy of the partnership between HTC Corporation who are the manufacturers of the phone and Bharti Airtel (a leading mobile operator in India) who ensured that the phone came to India. The phone is currently available through various retailers at a price of about Rs 29990/- HTCs HD7 comes with a variety of specifications which include:- 4.3 inches liquid crystal display (LCD) touch screen with 480 X 800 pixels. The phone also comes in dimensions of 122 mm x 68 x 11.2 mm.

This phone is very attractive thanks to its features. Some of the features of this phone include: - 1 Giga Hertz processor that ensures that the computer functions at a high and reliable speed. The phone operates on Microsofts windows 7 platform hence it is as good as a small computer. It also comes with 576 megabytes of random access memory (RAM) and 16 gigabytes of internal storage space. The phone comes with other features like: one 5 megapixel camera with a light emitting diode (LED) flash and it offers a recording feature of very high quality. HD 7 has 3G internet connectivity that allows one to download at a speed of 1.2 megabytes per second Mbps and to upload at a speed of 2 megabytes per second (Mbps). This phone also supports EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth and WI-FI connectivity. The phone's Battery allows for a standby of 310h up to 320 h. HD 7 has social networking applications that allows a user to share their photos with their friends in various corners of the world. It also has a GPS and antenna which is internal to allow one to be able to locate the phone incase it is lost and it also has Bing maps. There are very many applications available in this phone and they enhance the phones operations and capabilities. The applications and games that this phone lacks can be downloaded form the internet.
