Hyundai Dealers In Indianapolis Are Not Surprised Brand Has A Following Of Loyal Customers

Hyundai customers are loyal more so than any other brand according to a recent market survey by Kelley Blue Book

. This comes as no surprise to Hyundai dealers in Indianapolis, who have experienced this customer loyalty themselves.

Pulling ahead of Honda and Toyota for brand loyalty, Hyundai is no in the number one spot. When comparing February 2010 data to quarter four of 2009, Korean import automaker Hyundai has seen the greatest recent increase in loyalty, with Hyundai owners looking at new models within the brand increasing by 10.4 percentage points to 56.3 percent, a Kelley Blue Book statement commented.

According to Kelly, this brings Hyundai to the number one spot for customer loyalty for the first time in a long time. Hyundai was in third place in 2009. Indianapolis Used Hyundai customers have helped bring the company to this point, and Hyundai dealers are grateful for their loyalty. Incidentally, Toyota went from first to third place in the rating and Honda maintained its spot at number two.

Customers have been saying good things about Hyundai for many years. I remember over 20 years ago; a college co-worker of mine had a new one and was a walking advertisement. I had never heard of Hyundai at the time, but it did stick in my mind and I wondered what she knew that I didnt. Now I know! (Ironically, her summer job was with a Cadillac dealer.)

So, if Hyundai has been winning customer loyalty in the U.S. for more than 20 years, they certainly have a solid foundation of trust among U.S. buyers and word-of-mouth advertising is the most convincing. I would never have even remembered the name of this then-obscure company had I heard it in a commercial a few times. Hearing the qualities of the car from someone whose opinion I valued and trusted made it stick with me.

Perhaps Hyundai dealers should offer a customer referral program, giving a discount or rebate to anyone who sends them a first-time buyer. Sounds like a win-win plan to me!

Kelley also noted that Hyundai rated higher in performance than other brands by a healthy margin throughout the month of February 2010. Hyundai dealers in Indianapolis believe their cars deserve this rating as well.

James Bell, executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Books website stated, Hyundai is clearly benefitting from a perfect storm a result of introducing passionate new products like the 2011 Sonata and 2010 Tucson, while Hondas mainstream vehicles like the CR-V and Accord are a bit stale in the marketplace and Toyota is experiencing a huge consumer perception crisis.

Indianapolis Used Hyundai customers will excited to hear the rest of Bells statement, To sustain this momentum, Hyundai should continue to promote its attractive new vehicle line-up, solid warranty offer and strong price points to new car shoppers. Hyundais main challenge in the near future will likely come from domestic automakers like Ford and GM as they gear up for battle over buyers starting to look for a change from Camry-land.
