The 3.8L engine features a dual overhead cam layout and multi-point fuel injection

. The Azera utilizes a front wheel drivetrain, and the only transmission available is a five speed automatic transmission with the "shiftronic" feature. The shiftronic feature allows the driver to switch from the automatic mode and manually shift the transmission gears. The 3.8L V6 motivates the Azera from zero to sixty miles per hour in seven and two-tenths seconds, and reach a maximum speed of ninety-four miles per hour in the quarter mile. The roster of standard features on the Azera is impressive; dual zone automatic air conditioning, anti-lock brakes, a folding rear seat, keyless remote control, and a power glass moon roof are all standard.
