Hyundai i10 is the product of Hyundai Motor Company

. This 5-door hatchback was launched in 2007 October. Hyundai i10 is manufactured at the Hyundai Indian plant in Chennai and exported worldwide but it is not sold in its parental country South Korea. This iconic model is marketed below i20 and Getz and most of the countries it replaces the Hyundai Getz. Known as Inokom i10 in Malaysia, it is a predecessor of Hyundai Atos having FF Layout. Hyundai i10 is available in 9 variants in India, with diesel and petrol engine options. Hyundai i10 provides automatic and manual transmission and is the only model that has automatic transmission in the small car segment.

Some of the notable variants are Kappa, Asta, Sun Roofed Asta, Era, D-lite, Magna, Magna with Sun-roof optional and Sportz. Hyundai i10 price ranges between 4 to 6 lacs and available colors in India are Alpine Blue, Sleek White, Blushing Red, Champagne Gold, Deep-Ocean Blue, Electric Red, Virtual Yellow, Oyster Grey, Stone Black and Crystal White. This car competes with the Tata Indica, Maruti Wagon R, Nissan Micra, Ford Figo, Fiat Punto and Volkswagen Polo.

Engine and specification:

i10 is available in both petrol and diesel versions with manual and automatic transmission. Wheel-base measures 2380mm and the length, width and height are 3565mm, 1595mm and 1550mm respectively and its kerb weight is 925-1040kg for M/T.

Equipped with 1.1 L iRDE engine it has a capacity to deliver 66.7 PS of maximum power at 5500rpm and 99Nm maximum torque at 2800 rpm.

Performance:

Seating is very much comfortable and it gives a effortless drive experience. The steering wheel is good to hold and the gear box is top mounted in a way that brings ample of space between driver and front passenger. Hyundai i10 has 3-spoke steering wheel that ensures smooth handling and there is no loss of power or vibration even at high speed. The i10 gives a mileage of around 12 to 16 kmpl.

Hyundai i10 curved roof in its exterior that gives sporty look to the car. Wide back waistline not only brings dynamic appearance but it also protects this hatchback from dents and scratches. The body colored bumper, one touch to open sunroof add additional attraction. As for the interiors, it has a duel tone beige color interior, which is unique and unseen in this type of segment and it also brings luxurious feel. AC, gearbox, instrumental cluster are neatly placed at right place. There is ample of space in leg rooms and headrests are adjustable that gives comfortable ride. The car is equipped with safety features like pre-tensioner seat belts, dual air bags, anti breaking system and more depending on the variants.
