My husband has always been indecisive and Ive got to admit it can sometimes get ridiculously
annoying! For example when we wanted to make a greenhouse for our garden it took him months and months of research into the different materials, which might be used. It was all a bit extreme if you ask me as to me all we needed was wood and plastic sheets but he really did take ages and I couldnt really see what was different about the materials but he knew there was and it took him ages to make up his mind.
If Im honest Ive got into a habit recently of sorting stuff out before he knows about it so that he cant be indecisive and Ive made the decision before he can worry about it but this time I wasnt quick enough off the mark and unfortunately he wanted to have some input into the type of skirting we were getting which meant wed have weeks of back and forth ideas and decisions.
Ive got to admit yesterday I pretended I thought wed made a decision and went ahead and purchased the skirting from skirting boards .com. He wasnt very happy about it but I just said I thought wed made a decision on the particular type of skirting boards and thankfully he bought it. I cant wait until it arrives and its the type I wanted and not what wed have ended up with if it was down to him.
When we had my children Ive got to admit I practically beat the character trait out of them. Obviously I didnt beat them! I told them they were allowed a bit of time to make their decisions but they arent allowed too long and then they have to except it as it can get really annoying going from one idea to another all day long.
Im going to pay more attention to hiding things away from him so that he cant keep on changing his mind. I think he prefers just being told whats happening too as he doesnt then need to stress about the situation.
