I Was Made To Be A Medical Transcriptionist

Im here at work on my fifteen minute break, and realize that I could keep working after I leave the building

. I could type while Im at home! Ive looked for numerous home typist jobs online, but even with my great typing skills, I cant even apply for most of these jobs without experience. So, Ive decided that I need to kick it into gear and get into a course and get some help finding a job. I was made to be a medical transcriptionist. My grandma was born with fingers that fly like the wind, and I inherited the gift. I type while Im walking, while Im talking, while Im watching a movie. My fingers are always moving, and its a talent Id like to capitalize on. I have worked in medicine throughout my life, and currently work as a medical case manager. Ive got a great medical background, as well as the ability to type 107wpm (112 including the errors).

Working as a medical transcriptionist would be a great use of my skills and experience. The number one reason to become a medical transcriptionist for me is have one more certification/skill to offer companies that I might be interested in working for. I have my CNA, am trained as an ultrasound technician, have worked as a therapist, and consider moving on in either medicine or psychology. I work full time right now, so the option of working from home, after regular business-hours, is ideal. I love the idea of an extra paycheck coming in so that I could pay for that yoga class, or that cute skirt. Why you? Well, I am considering a course through Future MT because they are accredited, and offer help beyond certification. Future MT helps their students go behind the training and actually get a job, which can be very difficult. I appreciate a company that is interested in helping their students, even after theyve paid their dues and are no longer enrolled. Seeing that you offer scholarships made me even more excited! I work in social services and dont get paid well, so potentially having my tuition paid for is incredibly enticing! As for what I would ultimately like to do with a certificate in medical transcription, the world is my oyster. The exciting part of going through this course and ultimately becoming certified, for me, is that this is a skill I will always have this is a job market I can always seek employment in. I can work for home, on my own time, and do something that Im going to do anyways move my fingers and type along to whatevers going on around me. I look forward to having a skill and certification that I can use anywhere in the US to supplement my income, or eventually even do full time. I look forward to hearing from you, and will cross my fingers tightly that I might be selected for one of your scholarships. It would certainly help me get my foot (or fingers!) in the door.
