IP Phones – The future of telephones

Since the first phone was patented by Alexander Bell in 1876

, phones have been evolving to a whole new level, becoming smaller, lighter and even mobile. From the first phones who consisted of a body part, receiver, transmitter and several circuits for the simple extras and a ringer so that the user can be notified when he is being called and of course they weren't so small as now, instead they were bulkier and heavy with the tendency to easily break down. But with time phones became smaller with more extras, but of course you can also get a stand-alone phone with the extras of the mobile phone The IP Phone.. The IP phones phones which you can use just by connecting them to the internet or creating a local network or phones used mainly for business offices and buildings. The older IP phones have just this function but newer once come with Skype support, LCD display, touch pad, contact list and other features. While the old ones use a normal soft keypad and an acrylic display. But with time phones became smaller, mobile, with more extras, but of course you can also get a stand-alone phone with the extras of the mobile phone The IP Phone. Of course the routers have other pros too. Like call transfer, call hold, caller id, dialing using a name and the ability to use applications like news, weather reports or an event manager. But they also have some disadvantages like that they depend on main electricity unlike the ordinary telephones who get their needed electricity by the telephone wire, they're also open to Denial Of Service attacks if they have an open IP Address but this is not likely to happen. They're also combined IP phones which except connecting with internet can use an ordinary PSTN telephone connection, enabling them to be used as normal stationary phones. Some of the newest models have a Wireless Adapter allowing them to use wireless internet instead of broadband. Of course you need a quality internet so that you can use the IP phones otherwise you may suffer from bad voice quality or disconnection.
