IPL Cricket 2011 is underway and rightly after the Indian national team won the ICC World cup 2011. It seems both the players and the lively crowd of the nation is always in quest of more cricket. Cricket in India is not just a game but it has become a religion for this nation which lives in heart of every Indians and the players are worshiped as the demigods. Indian Premiere League (IPL) was bought in existence by the then Vice President of the BCCI (Board Cricket Control of India) the maestro Mr. Lalit Modi. The league was introduced for the first time in the year 2008 which was a massive hit. After India was crowned as the winner of the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, IPL was introduced having the same feature and formats which made the game more popular and more interesting.

IPL cricket championship after the great grand success in the first year in 2008 it is than continuously been hosted each and every year in India by BCCI. But in the year 2009 the championship was shifted to South Africa. But then onwards it is being successively hosted in India and this will be continued so.

In the first three editions of IPL there were only eight teams playing but for the first time in the history of IPL two new teams has been introduced. As the introductions of two new teams has made slight changes in the format and in the number of matches to be played. The teams are divided into two groups. Each group A and B consists of 5 teams respectively. The two new teams introduced to the IPL cricket teams 2011 are the Kochi Tuskers Kerala and the Pune Warriors India which represents the city of Cochin in Kerala and city of Pune in Maharashtra respectively.

It was Rajasthan Royals who won the first edition of the IPL which was led by Shane Warne, the second IPL championship was won by the Deccan Chargers which was led again by another great Australian player Adam Gilchrist and the IPL edition number 3 was won by the Chennai Super Kings which was led by the Golden man non other than MS Dhoni. As the IPL series has just began and with some heart throbbing games it is too early to predict the winner for the IPL Cricket 2011.

IPL cricket match is very interesting and exciting to see, as the matches are played just of 20 overs and the cricket fans get chance to see some rival players playing for the same team and the players from the same team battle with each other for the same cause. IPL cricket match in India has impressed all its cricket followers and every single match is followed with great interest by the viewer's world wide.
