Your computer is freezing

The most common sort of IT problem is when a computer freezes'. This is when you are not able to close a window and documents won't save, resulting in much frustration as you frantically click on everything within sight to try and make the computer unstuck. When you come across this issue, first see if you are able to restart by going to the start menu and clicking the restart button. If your computer is totally frozen and you can't do this, then a forced reboot is the only way to resolve this issue go to your tower, and switch your computer off and then on again. You suspect that you have a virus

Your internet is not connecting

If it all seems in order, and you are using broadband internet, make sure that your password and user name are typed in correctly and that caps lock is not on, then try again. If you are using dial-up, test the line with a telephone to see if it is a line issue. If all else fails, contact your IT outsourcing expert or your internet service provider for assistance.

Your computer is slow

Slow and sluggish computers make daily work a pain, and can also result in freezing and other issues. Do a clean up of your computer, and delete all programs that you do not use. Spyware and viruses can also slow down a computer system, so try a full virus scan to ensure that there are no viruses on your system. Another way to speed up your system is to search for temporary files that may still be stored this can be done by entering *.tmp' into your search tool. Delete all of these files that you find, and you should find that your system speeds up. If not, then it's time to call in the IT outsourcing experts.
