This author was surprised to find a bar filled with Christian symbols and effigies, only to get a shock upon entering the bathroom. Ask around for the Jesus bar. Perhaps this time it would be best not to ask at your hotel in Paris, you might scare them.

Wine along the Seine or at the Pedestrian Bridge

Any hotel in Paris will suggest a night on the Seine to you. Do as the locals do and buy a bottle of wine to accompany you as you hang out au bord of the Seine. Or opt for a high vantage point at the only pedestrian bridge across the river. It's a popular hang out for Parisian youth, where there's also laughter and some guy strumming a guitar. You'll be warmly welcomed.
