We can enjoy a happy festival celebration without much expenses. Children would still have a happy fesival even if there are not so many gifts as usual. In my hometown, there are many new and funny ideas for entertainment on christmas and New Year.

On Christmas Eve, the kids will join kinds of funny activities to make the celebrations together. For the younger children, some adults may tell some interesting christmas stories to them, and the children would listen to the stories so careful that they may think of the story characters coming around for them some day. When they grow up, they like playing games or singing songs together. They always play or sing according to the real persons or something happening around them. The relaxing atmosphere leave us a beautiful memory of childhood.

It is also quite popular for us to sing karaoke for the whole evening of christmas and New Year's Day. It would be organized like the TV show "American Idol". Anyone who want to sing can join us, including little kids who always become big stars in the nights. The competition is also widely acclaimed in our small town, while our singing goal is not for champion, but for joy.

What's more, we have some interesting and funny games. Some games can be played by both adults and kids. The kids' participation usually add some unexpected joy to the games. There is a game that requires game players call figures like one, two and three. Some kids may call names of their parents or pets instead. Thus, laughters can always be heard during games.

These simple ways of entertainment bring joy and happiness to everyone of the festivals and they will not cost much. New ideas are coming up from those who can see happiness and love in daily life year by year.
