Rosslyn Chapel went through decay in the following centuries and saw as bad a time when it was used as a stable forCromwells troops in 1650. General James St Clair (adescendant of Sir William St Clair) paid attention to the chapel and renovated it in 1736. Later in 1842, Queen Victoria ordered complete restoration of Rosslyn Chapel, and upon completion of that refurbishment in 1862, the Chapel became Episcopalian Chapel again. The chapel went through another renovation in 1940s and is currently a major tourist attraction for visitors from all around the world.
