I'm sure it seems like you have tried everything to get your ex to talk to you. Have your attempts to contact your ex been met with absolute silence lately? If they won't respond to you at all, then how can you make your ex start talking to you again?

The answer is opposite of what you've been trying. Right now, your ex doesn't want to hear from you. The more you try communicate, the more you are annoying and angering them. If you want them to ever start talking to you again, you have to care about what they want. And it appears that what they want is for you to leave them alone. It will make you uneasy to stop trying to communicate. But you both need a "time-out" from the resentments and the anger and all of the emotions that are still so fresh.

The best thing to do in this time is to re-involve yourself in activities that you've let go. Before you were a couple, there were things you used to do that you haven't done in a long time. Reach out to friends you haven't seen in awhile, and spend more time with your family. Since you can't make your ex start talking to you again, surround yourself with people who have always been there, and have fun with them!, fill your life with people who want to.

It is also a good time to learn something new. You could learn about yourself through books or other self-enlightenment activities. Or, you could try to acquire a new skill. Whatever you find interesting, indulge yourself. Self-improvement is never wasted time, it builds self esteem and it takes your mind off of your ex.

You can't make your ex start talking to you again, except by absolute silence. And when they finally do pick up the phone, a more improved, independent, and confident you can only help matters.
