Restoring and renovating a classic car can be a tricky and time consuming task

, but turning a Cadillac S&S ambulance into an Ecto 1 lookalike sounds like an impossible task. One determined owner spent 65,000 turning a rusty 1959 Cadillac into the infamous Ghost Buster replica.

As far as movie based replicas go this curious classic would certainly be "something strange in your neighbourhood" if you owned this Cadillac, reports the telegraph website. The current owner of the car, which is due to go under the hammer at Brooklands auction, says the restoration of such a unique motor was a "labour of love, and hopefully it will find a worthy home".

The outside of the car is a carbon copy of the one featured in the 1984 Ghost Busters film, until you look inside and see the luxurious leather-clad bench seats. The luxury continues with a 6.5 litre V8 engine, which enhances the sophistication of the limousine style motor.

If you want to see this eye-catching history evoking automobile head along to Brooklands auction on Saturday the 15th of September. The estimated price of this replica is predicted to fetch in the region of 75,000 - 85,000.
