Immediate Care At Urgent Care

Tony was spending a beautiful autumn Sunday in the park with his family

. The weather was great and everyone was having a wonderful time playing on the playground equipment. But, suddenly, things took an unforeseen turn. Tony had had a terrible emergency. His son just fell off the swings at the park. Immediately, Tony knew that it was clear that his son Joey needed some emergency medical care. It appeared that Joey's leg was broken. Not wanting to go to the emergency room and wait for a long time, Tony's wife suggested that they take Joey somewhere else. But, they knew their family doctor's office was closed on Sundays, so they decided the best place to take his son was an urgent care clinic.

As it turns out, going to the urgent care clinic was a great choice for Tony and his family. Under the circumstances, Tony realized that an urgent care clinic was just a few blocks away from where they were playing. So, they headed over to the urgent care clinic. Within minutes of arriving Tony's son Joey was already being seen by a nurse. This put Tony and his wife at ease. Even though his son was still in a great deal of pain, they both felt a great sense of relief that their son was being taken care of and that they would get some answers soon.

After a short amount of time with the nurse, Tony's son Joey was taken for some x-rays to find out where the break in his leg had happened, and to get a closer look at the break. After only about thirty minutes of being at the urgent care doctor's office Tony and his son were on their way to having some good information about Joey's broken leg.

Once the x-ray's were complete the doctor came in to examine Joey's broken bone. Within minutes the doctor had assessed that Joey's broken leg was pretty severe. And that Joey may need surgery in order to ensure proper healing. Although this was not welcome news for Tony and Joey, they were glad to have an expert diagnosis.

The doctor at the clinic recommended a specialist for Joey's leg. Tony felt great relief that his son would be taken care of. And, although he was not thrilled that his son may need surgery, Tony was reassured that Joey got the best care possible within an hour of arriving to the medical care clinic. But, before they could leave the clinic Joey had to have his leg put into a cast. This was great for Joey, he got to choose the color of the cast and he choose his favorite color and they were able to go home afterwards.
