First off lets define what a following is. If you look it up on the internet youll just get a lot of stuff telling you about buttons to click for people to find your profile. However the way I refer to it is a little bit different. Its gaining interest from all of your friends. Sure you can gloat about having thousands of friends but how much do they really care about you? If youre going to get people interested in you and eventually in your business and product that youre promoting, the big key is to create a following. Dont let people forgot you exist. Daily or even multiple times a day say something captivating. Perhaps an inspirational quote or something great about your life like how you got back from a trip climbing Mount Everest. Get people interested in you and what youre up to. But for Petes sake dont talk about drugs, alcohol and that hotty that you hooked up with. The idea is to create a good impression and get people to like you. You can spend months really focusing on building your following. If youre promoting a product the timing has to be perfect. You need to spend enough time to let your friends get to know you and like you. 2-4 months can be a good amount of time for this. Now that youve built up a strong following you can take the next step and introduce your business and product, but dont be pushy. Begin by mentioning it as a side note to get people interested. Since they like you so much they want to know whats the deal with this business that you own. And at that point youll know youve created a successful following.
