Therefore, there is a need for Environmental Consultants who can guide businesses, professionals and individuals how to use and dispose dangerous goods properly and manage daily activities which may help in saving the surrounding environment.

Environmental Consultants are professionals and should have proper knowledge about the chemical components of hazardous materials and the way they can react with other elements. Moreover they should have proper training of handling hazardous materials and should be well equipped in order to solve a problem. Hazard Classification is really important to know the nature and degree of hazard of the hazardous materials. This is so because there has been a great increase in the use of hazardous materials and these goods are transported from one place to another. It is very important for the person responsible for shipping of goods from one place to another to have proper knowledge about Hazard Classification so that he can safeguard the environment and people from any damage. Hazard Classification involves classification of goods as oxidizers, radioactive, corrosive, explosives, gases, poison, liquid flammables and combustibles and solid flammables and combustibles.

Hazard Classification also involves classification of dangerous goods depending on the nature of their hazard. These harmful goods are given color codes as well as number codes so that they can be identified easily. According to Hazard Classification blue color is for health hazards, red color is for flame hazards and white color is for special types of hazards. The hazardous materials are also given number codes to indicate their degree of hazard, 0 is given to the goods which have lowest degree of hazard and 4 is given to the goods which have highest degree of hazard.
