LED stands for light emitting diodes which is an electronic component which allows electricity to pass in only one direction. Strobe stands for: Stroboscopic lamp unlike a regular light a strobe light stores energy in a component called a "capacitor" which then dumps it all at once causing a sudden, brief, intense flash of light. LED lights are highly visible miles ahead and the bulbs last longer and they are more durable in weather conditions than a strobe. Because strobes store energy in a capacitor there is a higher risk of electrical shock even when they are not hooked up. You should never take the lens off of a strobe even if it is not hooked up it may still be storing energy that can shock you. LED lights are easy to install and are virtually unnoticeable when they are turned off. They come in a variety of colors including red, blue, amber, white, and green.
