While dealing with the advantages of using wireless and specially IP based surveillance
cameras in our security system, we must also take into account some of its disadvantages. These cameras are expensive and need a high network bandwidth for its functioning. There installations require specific technicians and they are open to hacking as they transmit data through the internet. So it is best to use an IP based surveillance for a wireless security system only when the use of CCTV cameras is not possible or may hinder public security.
