Important Things To Do Before You Die
There are bucket lists of all kinds these days
. Lists that expect you to step out of character or into one; lists that may require you to give up your time for others or spend time all to yourself. Find one in here that you havent done yet and let your hair loose, just one last time (or maybe more) times!
If you currently have any debt, find out what its like living for a month with only your bare necessities taken care of and every penny going to pay it off. This means no new anything, unless your survival depends on it. Document how quickly your debt fell, and how feasible it is to carry out such an experiment.
Give away 25% of the stuff in your attic or basement that you know youll never need, despite pack-ratting it for many years. And give it away, dont charge for it!
Try the eating-with-two-dollars-a-day experiment that began in 2010, when two high school teachers in America wondered what it would be like to live like more than half of the world does. If you survive, write a story (at least to your friends and folks) about it.
Give yourself the big break! This could mean anything from making a DVD cut for Got Talent or using scissors on your dresses to find out if you really have a tailors knack. Of course, getting a second opinion wont hurt, but dont let them dampen your spirits!
Log roll down a long hill.
Sky-dive, bungee jump and scuba-dive in one holiday season if possible. Water-skiing, banana boating, paragliding, zorbing and surfing also make worthy substitutes, but combine them all together to see if its really possible to be addicted to thrill.
Curl up by the fire and read a book thats been banned in at least one country. Just to see if you can stomach some not-so-nice things for a change.
Smash a guitar! It may take $30 on e-Bay but the blood rush to the head is real, even if its a home grown crowd comprising dog and cat and full-length mirror.
Take care of someone, either as a mentor to impart skills you have imbibed over the years, or financially. Some common ways to do this is to have a College Savings Plan set up for a grandchild or working with a younger apprentice employee to share your knowledge freely. Other uncommon but fun ways to also do the same thing: Start a blog sharing your skills, or write a book and sell it for free online.
Take some friends to a bouncy-house (on a private session especially if you are all well above the teenage mark)
Snow-skid in a parking lot every day this winter. Instead of feeling blue with the depressing cold the season brings, you may just find that winter was your favorite season after all.
Make your own cover of your favorite song. Who care if people are demanding on Youtube? Covers are meant to be personal interpretations of meaningful music from the soul of a true fan.
Find out if a flash mob is taking place in your city and sign up for it! You can always start your own as well, which may just turn out to be less flash and more mob.
Write to your Congress representative, favorite newspaper or website editor about something you passionately believe in. Make it personal, forthcoming and knowledgeable, so the chances of an answer are greater.
Travel on a shoe-string budget. Couch surf, sleep in your car or eat burritos for every meal, but make sure to see and do everything else youve always wanted to!
Be a groupie, but without all the scandals. Follow someone you respect or admire for a few days, and feel what its like to walk in their shoes Well, behind their shoes.
Set up a Will, and if you already have one, review it. Leave money behind to a struggling actors troupe or writers guild.
Get a life insurance policy now if you still don't have one. Term life insurance is usually the cheapest, most affordable option many families choose to have. Buy a level
term life prices now, before age catches up with you or rates rise in the future. Choose to buy
life insurance onlinefor the best rates.
Review your beneficiaries on your life insurance policy. Update to avoid awkward tensions in the future, like squabbles between relatives and undeserved inheritances.
Good luck! Share your additions to this bucket list and let us know how any of these worked out for you.
