In This Winter

Author: The first snow in this city came to us at last night, this is really a very seldom scene around us. Ever since we came to this city, that is to say, during the last two years, we have not experienced much winter. As a matter of fact, this area where our university lies is always warmer than our home city, though they are not very far from each other.

So this morning, when we discovered that the playground at the back of our dormitory building was covered with thick white snow, we were all so amazed as if we saw something quite out of our expectation, though we have already got the news that there would be big snow last night. Actually, last year, when we were still freshmen in this university, in the winter, we were expecting snow almost all the time, but the fact turned out that there were just cold wind, rain, and nothing special.
Especially for me, when I once went home for a short break during the winter, we also had no snow that time, but when I arrived in the university in the afternoon, I received a phone call from my father who said that there began a very large flow of snow at our home city. I was so amazed that I had missed a quite excellent opportunity of playing with snow.
So during the whole last winter, I saw no snow. Maybe this is also what our classmates thought about in their minds, everybody had a tendency to go out to play in the afternoon, when the snow was still very large. So when the monitor suggested that we might go out to take family photos in the afternoon when there were actually no classes, all were so excited.
During the game, we all enjoyed ourselves so much that many people's clothes were even soaked totally by the water. Then I found that my shoes were actually very wet, maybe I should also think about buying a pair of UGG boots, like many other girls in our class.About the Author:
