The post recession world is still on the road to recovery as many airlines are not installing First Class seats any more. The biggest reason is the demand fall and also, major companies no longer invest in first class and prefer to limit themselves at regular Business Class or Club. However there are many other reason than just that.

First, all major airlines are competing neck to neck to meet use gratifications. The modern day user looks for flights in an orderly, having price as first and comfort as second priority.
