South African city of Durban plans to be more senior citizens friendly by offering them different rebates. This makes sense as according to a conservative estimate the Senior Citizen in city have on average properties worth $2.5 Million. The city council has put forward this new process for all the senior residents of Durban for the approval too. Since this is new project, the city is asking for the senior citizens to get registered for the benefits however.
The average additional rebate being offered to these senior citizens is $210 monthly. This recent project came into being after the previous rebate plan was having problems. One report stats there were more then two hundred complains being brought forward by the different senior citizens for wrong category placement.
There are different indicators which are used for estimating the level of assistance required. The one used most frequently in Durban is the property prices. If the value of property or home is worth less then 50K senior citizen is placed in the category of greater need of assistance. The pensioner association has shown their pleasure on the increase, but wish to apply the same increase for everyone too.

She also indicated that some affluent senior citizens in R3 category in the rebate system will not get enough Incentive Reward Programs benefits however most needed pensioners will get assistance. She also indicated this increase will be added further after yearly review too.
