Incorporating Curling Ribbon Into Birthday Parties

Planning a birthday party for a little girl can seem like a daunting task

. This isn't because girls are hard to entertain, per se. However, it can sometimes seem difficult to keep them entertained for long periods of time, without spending a lot of money. That's why some parents spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on princess-related clothing, tea party products and glamour makeup sets. Little do they know, it doesn't have to take spending a fortune to keep little girls interested and occupied during birthday parties. In fact, all it takes is a little creativity.

Take the product known as curling ribbon, for instance. Most people believe this particular item is only useful for being tied to the bottom of a balloon. However, it can be used for much more than that. Now, some people may be thinking that there is no way that this item can be successfully incorporated into a little girl's birthday party and rightfully so. Many times, it's hard to accept something that isn't usual or common.

One way that curling ribbon can be incorporated into a girl's birthday party is by using it as a hair accessory. Depending on how many girls are in attendance, they could be divided into teams or small groups. They could all work together to create sets of accessories using the colors of their choice. Once each group is completed, they can present their creations to the other kids. Not only will this help to expand their creativity, but it will also teach them the importance of teamwork.

Curling ribbon could also be used to create makeshift jewelry pieces. The girls could be separated into groups similar to the aforementioned example, or they can create the pieces on their own. Using the product, they could create rings, necklaces or even bracelets.

Another great thing about these activities is that it allows the children to stay occupied, without putting a lot of stress on the adults. For the most part, the girls will be too involved in their projects to run around and get into mischief. Therefore, the supervisors won't have to worry as much about keeping them all in one place.

Once it's finally time for all of the parents to pick the girls up, the children can put on a miniature fashion show for them. The girls will be extremely excited to show off their creations to their parents.

Curling ribbon can be used for more things than some people may realize, such as birthday parties. Not only can this item help keep the children occupied, it can also be incorporated in such a way that they walk away knowing the importance of creativity and teamwork.
