Incorporation Of Comenius Programme For European Students And Teachers

A Research Based Innovation programme is being held for all students and teachers from within the European community

. This programme is known as Comenius Programme.

The programme aims at inviting student groups who are between the age group from 14 years and 19 years and teachers who have extensive knowledge about their teaching profession. European countries eligible to participate in this Comenius programme are Germany, Italy, Romania, Sweden, Spain and Poland.

The Comenius programme has been named after educationist Jan Amos Comenius (1592 1670), who was known to be the father of new education. The programme has 2 main goals:

1- Their first objective is to educate and provide adequate knowledge to all the students and teachers attending the programme about the European culture & languages, its values etc. and secondly

2- To help students and teachers from all European nations to improve and increase their personal development and discuss with them about future employment & how to be an active citizen of their European community.

The Comenius programme also ensures that all students give more priority to science subject since it has been noted that students are showing less interest in a subject such as science when compared with other subjects. This is another main reason why the Comenius programme was set up.
