ON-PAGE SEO

For on-page SEO you want to do a few things. First, you want to make sure your keyword phrases are placed in strategic locations. Traditionally, you want to place your keyword phrase in the title of your website, in the heading of your website, in the meta description for your website and in the content of your website. This allows search engine robots to identify the keyword phrases as important and relevant to the subject matter of your website.

Do not write your content for robots. Be sure to make your content interesting for people, and don't stuff keywords in the content just to put it in there. Always write for people while remembering the importance of SEO and keywords.

OFF-PAGE SEO

Off-page SEO is everything you do outside of your website. Primarily, this means building backlinks. Backlinks are just links on other websites that link to your website. You can get backlinks through article marketing, social bookmarking, press releases, blogs, forums, and anywhere else you can think of. Every link to your website is essentially a "vote" for your website. The more votes you get, the more popular your website becomes and the higher your website will rank in search engine results when people type in the relevant keyword phrases.

MONETIZING WEB TRAFFIC

Once you start getting traffic, you need to convert those visitors into buyers. Depending on your business model, you have many options. You can refer them to your brick and mortar business. You can sell products on your website. You can sell advertising on your website. You are limited only by your imagination.
