Indian Agriculture – A Remarkable Reclamation of Land
India is also known as a land of agriculture
India is also known as a land of agriculture. We have not progressed industrially after independence and Indian agriculture is also not much better because of lack of knowledge of our farmers. There is one more reason for not progression of Indian agriculture which is the conventional methodology in cultivation of yield and other procedures. We have been emerged as a agricultural country which were involved in harvesting and survived their livelihood. But till the end of the years of 20th century we remain agriculturists. Since 1947 more than half percentage of people are directly or indirectly connected with agriculture. There are some distinctions in terms of production to whom we feel proud. We are amongst the topmost sugarcane and rice production countries. We are just a step behind of China in production of tea and Egypt in cotton. We have been exported our grains, rice and other material to many countries and in our own country, many people have been died because of not having proper diet and because of malnutrition. You might have seen on television that how badly grains are spoiling because of the carelessness of management. But we are usually blame it on the poor farmer, for his conventional procedure of agriculture. We have lost million of tons foodstuffs because of unscientific method of preservation and bad storage conditions.
We should practice innovative and advanced method to implementing agricultural procedures like harvesting and cultivating. Many farmers are not well aware of advanced agricultural process, good quality of seeds, preservation method, pesticides and many more. We have to awake them and instruct them that how can they increase their agricultural production using advance or little bit modified method and scientific preservatives as well. In India, we have the most of fertile land which is the perfect place for agricultural practices. More than half percent of Indian economy is depends upon its agricultural practices.
The country is constantly contributing in Indian agriculture and strives towards the reclamation of sterile land and achieved self sufficiency in food. It will become beneficial for farmers if they adopt advance techniques and turn to intensive cultivation.
