Indianapolis used car dealer looking forward to U.S
. production of Elantra
The Hyundai Elantra is going American for 2011 and it will even be produced in Montgomery, Alabama with the Sonata sedan. Your 2011 Indianapolis Accent dealer believes the new design and the new production location will have greater appeal to U.S. buyers.
Following in the successful wake of the Sonata, which has seen a 50 percent sales increase this year, the Elantra will become styled for the American market and have its production increased - right here in this country. Your Indianapolis used car dealer is thrilled that the Elantra will not only continue to help introduce American buyers to the Hyundai brand, but also help provide domestic jobs.
Hyundai and its sister brand, Kia, have been gaining a strong following in the auto market for the last decade and have even become the sixth largest auto manufacturer in the world. In addition to bringing the Elantra's production to the U.S., Hyundai will move production of the Santa Fe from Alabama to Georgia, where the Kia Sportage is made. The Alabama facility will then increase its production of the Sonata and add the Elantra.
This production boost is part of Hyundai's plan to move into the top five automakers soon. With quality and prices like they've been offering, that shouldn't be difficult. The new 2011 Hyundai Equus luxury sedan matches up to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class at a price of only $55,000. Apparently, this little Korean car company has figured out the secret formula.
Indianapolis 2011 Accent customers also will like the Elantra Touring wagon version. We don't know yet if that one will be made in Alabama, but the fact that Hyundai offers us so many choices and does them all well proves its commitment to customer satisfaction.
If you want to wait on the made-in-the-USA version of the Elantra, you won't have to wait long. They will be on sale before the end of the year. In the meantime, Indianapolis used car dealers have a large selection of pre-owned vehicles to choose from.
Hyundai also debuted an interesting new model at the Paris Auto Show recently - a sporty coupe called the Veloster. No details on when or if this will reach mass production, but it does seem that Hyundai is covering all its bases.
Even though Hyundai is a relative newcomer in the auto industry, arriving in the U.S. in the mid-80s, they seem to have a firm grasp of what American buyers want and the ability to keep it at an affordable price point. Moving more production stateside can only boost their reputation and help the domestic economy.
It will be interesting to see what Hyundai pulls out of its bag of tricks next. Whatever it is, it will likely be affordable.
