Individualize Your Desktop Using Guitar Wallpapers

Customizing your desktop or laptop computer home screen is always enjoyable

. But with dozens of preset wall papers to choose from, it still doesn't seem to be sufficient for those of us who like to, for example, change wall papers whenever the computer resumes. You will soon find that the wall papers the computer comes with aren't sufficient to keep you interested for very long. Almost all of the images are pretty, but are vague and usually based on your operating system or any brand of computer it is you own. If you want more personalized wall papers then here's how.

The first thing you should know is that you can make any image file on your computer into a wallpaper. If you don t want any thing intricate, just simply a picture you have of you and your friends, you and your family or even you and a pet. Just right click the image and select the option set as desktop background. Minimize the windows you have open and voila! Your chosen image is now your wallpaper.

If you favor the option of slideshows that was mentioned before. Simply create a folder in your existing pictures folder by right clicking an empty spot and choosing new folder. Name the folder with the theme of the pictures you will be adding to it for your desktop wallpaper slideshow. So for example, if you are a fan of music, and instruments in particular Guitars, you can call the folder Guitar Wallpapers. Now comes the best part. Seeking for pictures you want to use for the slideshow.

The quickest means of course is your favourite search engine. Keeping with our guitar fan, simply do a general search for guitar wall papers. You then have the choice of either browsing through the web sites that come up, that will range from art, image and shared image blogs and forums, to pay per image stores or sorting your results with the image option. If you want to build a large slideshow filled with general images that match your search, then begin with the image search. You will have pages of images that will be moderately applicable to what you want. When you find an image you like, right click and hit save image as and then save it to the folder that you created earlier. Continue doing this until you have a collection of wallpapers that is personalized to your wants. If all you want is a single image, right click and set it as your desktop wallpaper

To create a wallpaper slideshow, right click on your desktop and hit personalize near the bottom left; choose the choice desktop background. At the top of this new screen look for your guitar wallpaper folder with the browse choice. select the folder and it will return you to the pervious page. Check all the pictures you want to include in the sideshow and then pick from the dropdown menu how often you want the background to change (15 minutes, on restart etc). You will have the guitar wall paper (or any other theme you pick) available for you to look at every time you see your computers wallpaper.
