Indoor Tanning Tips
Indoor tanning is a quick way to get a bronzed look no matter where you are
. No wonder its a hot business that poplar throughout the world. But before getting an indoor tan, it pays to be well prepared. This is important since too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause problems like rashes, premature aging, and inflammation. Long exposure has also been linked to skin cancer and eye problems like bad eyesight or blindness.
Because of these potential adverse effects, you should protect yourself while in the booth. What steps should you take? First, wear special goggles designed for prolonged use. These will block the harmful UV-A rays completely. You can get a pair from a tanning shop or salon or they may be provided by the particular salon you visit. Remember that a towel or regular shades wont protect your eyes. Never look at the UV light or you could hurt your eyes even if they're closed.
Perfumes and makeup are great for everyday use but should be avoided when using a tanning bed. These products make your skin more sensitive to UV rays. This is why its important to remove any cosmetics before entering a tanning booth.
Buy quality products from known dealers. Don't get them from flea markets, non-reputable online sites or other stores that aren't related to the industry. These products could be expired or damaged. To be on the safe side, get what you need from an indoor tanning bed business or retailer.
You can wear what you'd like or choose to tan in the nude. Don't forget to remove jewelry, watches or articles of clothing where you want a tan. Band-Aids should also be removed or it will leave you with unsightly white spots. Many salons offer tanning stickers that will leave you with a desired shape.
