Induction Cookers Quick And Safe For All The Family
As time and technology marches on so too does the appliances we use on a regular basis in the home
, one of the most commonly used appliances is the cooker. Cookers are used at least once a day in most households to prepare and cook meals, one of the drawbacks for some cookers has been that it can take a long time to get the cooker to get up to its desired heat. A lot of cookers used to add significant time to food preparation times whilst you waited for the cooker to burn up to the right temperature.
With electrical hobs or stoves this can add significant time compared to gas burning stoves and some homes do not have gas burning cookers for safety or energy saving reasons. There have been many companies who have spent plenty of research into how to make cooking more efficient as well as safer when cooking with children around.
Sadly many children have been badly burnt or injured when they have reached up and touched a hot hob plate, this problem happens more than youd think and so ways to reduce this occurrence have fortunately been put into practice thanks to the induction cooker.
An induction cooker doesnt use traditional exothermic heating that is used in ceramic hobs; instead it uses electromagnetic induction to heat the cooking vessel such as a pot or pan and not the surface itself. This not only means there is a reduced burning risk with only the cooking vessel getting hot, not the cooking surface or the surrounding air but there are savings on energy use thanks to the increased efficiency of induction cookers compared to other conventional cookers.
Induction cookers are estimated to be around 90% of the energy compared to 55% that is effective when using an open gas flame for your cooking. As well as being more effective induction cookers also get up to heat incredibly quickly and cool down quicker too since the only heat will be residual heat from the pan, wok or any other cooking vessel you have used.
A common complaint with electric hobs has been that you dont have as much control over the temperature as it is hard to get the hob to reduce its temperature quickly, with induction cookers you can reduce the temperature much quicker so you have a greater control over how your food is cooked and not have to wait in order to cook your food quickly.
The only drawback is that you will need to have cookware that works with the induction energy and this may mean a new set of pots and pans for some people, but considering the money youll save on electricity bills by using an energy efficient induction cooker then you may find it is worth the slight costs.
