Before start styling your hair, wet it with a hydrating, anti-frizz shampoo and follow it up with a moisturizing conditioner. Let the conditioner sink in for some time before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

Hairs can be detangled by tilting your head upside down and by running your fingers through it. Crush out the water by covering your head with a towel and then twist it to absorb the excess drops. Now, leave the towel on for five minutes. Rubbing your hair may cause roughness and make your hair to split, break and appear tightly curled.

To remove the knots and the tangles, gently run your finger through your freshly rinsed and towel-dried hair. Do not brush or comb your wet hair, as it puts off your natural waves and leaves your hair puffed and frizzy.

Twist your head upside down and apply a spoonful of curl cream or mousse through the washed roots. Massage gently, starting from tip and going down towards the end. Mousse boosts the body and texture of your waves and keeps the frizz at bay. If your hair is very frizzy and unmanageable, using some anti-frizz serum to tame your mane may give a wonderful look. Remember to use moderate mousse or creams.

Twist your mane to create those dreamy soft cascading waves. After dividing your hair into several small sections, begin by twisting each section separately, starting from the root. Make sure to twist all the sections and allow your hair to air dry for some time. Hair dryer with a diffuser can also be used to dry your mane. Then, run your fingers through your waves to untwist the braids.
