Inkjet Labels- For that lifetime investment

Inkjet labels are a popular name in many medium and small-scale commercial enterprises owing to its many distinctive features. Used in everyday applications, these labels do not need much of an introduction. Inkjet labels are cost effective and can be used for the purpose of creating shipping labels, price tags, labels for diskettes, VHS tapes and part bins. These labels are available in various shapes such as round corner labels, removable labels, circle labels and square corner labels.

Under standard procedures, a die machine cuts labels to required size, which is made available in various shapes, sizes and materials. The label material consists of a porous stock that accepts ink and dye from a concerned inkjet printer.

Inkjet paper used in the manufacturing of inkjet labels is categorized by its weight, brightness, quality of smoothness and opacity. It is made up of deinked pulp or chemical pulps that most often require a better dimensional stability, strength and smoothness. The porosity and its even spread are balanced out well in order to neutralize the spreading of ink. In the case of glossy inkjet papers, multicoating, resin coating, or cast coating on laminated paper works fine.

For the production of characters on the inkjet labels, printers play a very important role. These inkjet printers are comparatively less expensive than the laserjet printers and can easily last for about one or two years. This is the only reason why it is majorly used in small operations of printing. Sometimes, double-sided inkjet printing is not possible with inexpensive low weight copy paper due to a bleed through noticed from one side of the paper to the other. Heavier weight paper adds value in such cases due to thickness of the fibers, which limit the bleed through.
