Masked robbers who entered.With ingenuity and shrewdness, they repeatedly outwit the police forces negotiator Det. Keith Frazier (Washington) and Bill Mitchell (Ejiofor) who seeks to free the hostages. Head of the special unit John Darius (Dafoe) who was initially optimistic, finally unable to do anything against an enemy who is good at manipulating. Russell actions are shocking so confusing that police forces numbered far more that. Frazier who always loses steps from Russell, began to feel the singularity of the action taken by the robbers. His suspicion of something other than robbery which happened more and more strengthened by the presence of Madeline White (Foster), a high-level broker in New York. White was suddenly asked to meet face to Russell personally for something that may not be known about by anyone, including Frazier.
