Installation Tips for Door Lock

Fingerprint door lock is the right answer for providing good security system for residential

. It uses fingerprint to gain access to the door. Therefore, only those whose fingerprint recorded in the door system can access the lock. Nowadays, this security system has been improved and it is available at affordable price.

Fingerprint lock can also be very useful in protecting your house from thieves. With this security system, you can securely leave your house with no one inside. Now, you can install it for your house protection. Just buy the kit with all the parts needed. Then, you can do as the following steps.

The first thing you need to do after getting all the parts in your hand is to drill holes in your door. The holes depend on the types of the lock you buy. Some needs some holes in your door and the door frame. Also, you need to make a hole in the side of your door around two inches deep for your deadbolt. Then, make a hole in the frame of your door for locking the deadbolt into.

Then, adjust the deadbolt for fitting on the mechanism of the lock. Place a screwdriver in driver board hole and turn it until it sets properly. When you open the door, the deadbolts will retract far enough. On the other hand, deadbolts will extend far enough to seal tightly when you lock the door.

The next thing to do is to install the deadbolt, the latch, and the strikes. The deadbolt and the latch have faces which sit on the door edge. Tighten them up to the door by using screws inserted into holes. Then, hammer the strike or metal plate into the holes you have drilled in the door edge to prevent your door frame from damage.

Then, install the lock mechanism. It is commonly placed on the outside of your door. Keep it in place while you place the back plate on the inside of your door. Tight those two pieces together by using screws.

The last thing to do is to check the latch and the lock function. You have to make sure that your door is tightly sealed to your door frame. Try the mechanism and ensure that everything matches. Then, insert the battery to start up your new lock.
