Insurance Battle Between The Cars

The electric car users get insurance at a very low rate and the owners are very happy with this decision

. But the gas car owners think that it is not fair for them to get an advantage over them. Taking all points into consideration the gas car owners still think that the electric car owners should not get this benefit as it is not fair to them. They complain that some gas cars are as expensive as the electric cars are and if they are not getting any discount and have to pay the whole sum for the insurance then the same rule should go for the electric cars too. This point is being extensively debated and the governments decision is not seen as a fair one by many gas car owners. Even the ones who own hybrids are not getting any such discount and it is sure bothering them. Both the sides have strong grounds and here is what they think -:

Electric Car Owners

The electric car owners think that they should get the benefit of this discount as their car is not just more expensive but it also is eco-friendly. The people who drive these kinds of cars are mature and know that rash driving is not an option. These car owners see their buying an electric car as spending money on a vehicle that helps the society and it is perfectly fair that the government has decided to give them a benefit on the insurance payments. The government says that the insurance companies offer these cars a good discount because these cars have a very small market and the people who buy it would not risk getting the car scratched or dented in any kind of accidents. Therefore the risk of these cars getting into an accident is minimized to a great extent.

Gas Car Owners

The gas car owners believe that even if the electric cars do not pollute the environment they use a different resource. Some gas cars are as expensive as the electric cars and their owners also do not get their cars into any accidents because it is a costly car. Therefore they question why those car owners are not given a benefit on the insurance. They too deserve it and it depends on the driver and not the drivers age how the car would be drive. A teen can be very responsible with his car while a mature grown up can rash drive.

Both these points are very intriguing and they are supposed to be thought about. The electric car owners feel that they deserve this as they have spent a lot on their eco-friendly car while the others think that the gas cars should not pay more insurance only because their car is not eco-friendly. It is a battle between cars and the one type that should be taken into consideration is the hybrid which too is eco-friendly but does not reap any such insurance discounts as the Electric cars do. The government and the insurance companies will be the ones who take the final decision.
