When teaching is at its best, it can take a child on an adventure, learning about history or foreign lands or animals or anything which can spark the imagination in a child. This is much the same way that a good book can transport people to a different time or place and help them to develop their own imagination. Education has to be about stimulating children and making the learning process as interesting and as exciting as possible. There are many ways to do this but making the learning process seem as alive as possible is the best way to grab children's imagination and to ensure they are keen to learn. When a child wants to study, they are far more likely to get a benefit from the learning process.

There are many ways to make the learning process more engaging but interactive whiteboards are a tremendous way to stimulate all of the senses of a child. Reading about animals in a book is a good way to develop knowledge but having video footage of these animals on the screen in front of an entire class is the best way to make children feel involved.

Watching the animals move and hearing about their lifestyle is a far better option than reading about them in a book and most pupils will get more from the education process if it is carried out in this manner. Most children are now comfortable with TVs so using this style of presentation to further the learning process is a step that all educators should seriously consider. The end results are amongst the most important thing when it comes to education and if using audio and visual aids can stimulate a child, they need to be considered a positive step in the process.


Another great benefit from using these interactive whiteboards is that they can connected to a computer, which means that information from the internet can be projected onto the screen for the whole class to see. This can speed up the learning process as well as widening the scope of information that a teacher can provide to the pupils.

Most children are comfortable with using the internet and will probably place a greater degree of faith in some of the results that can be found online as opposed to what can be found in books. This means children are more likely to respond to what is shown on screen but if that makes the learning process more enjoyable and worthwhile, it is something that educators have to consider.
