For a photographer the topic of sunsets and sunrises has always been an interesting subject
. Anyone can get interested in nature photography, with a good sunset picture. To get a good sunset picture, you dont need to be a professional, capturing the images. You would also not require any professional training in that front, what you require is good SLR digital cameras, and use good quality film scanner, to scan those captured images.
Sunset pictures can be taken with a lot of ease, but it will be hard to sell them. As everyone would have a good sunset picture with them so they dont need to buy them. But it wont be very hard to expose a sunset picture, as you can simply leave your camera on the auto mode, and it will do the rest of the work for you. But many people are faced with the trouble of making a composition. Everyone can photograph a sky, but the real challenge is to photograph the sky into a compelling and intriguing picture.
Check out some cool tips to capture some good sunrise and sunset photos-
Try to predict a good sunset before it actual happens. Many times you might have seen a perfect sky, and wished to have a camera with you, at that moment. The minutes that pass for you to get your camera and set it up, the moment is lost! A sunset can be very appealing, but it can be lost in a few minutes too. Decide your locale, set your camera, and wait for the show to unfold.
Get the best colors and for that you need to have patience. When the sun crosses the horizon, it can be beautiful but the entire story is something different. When the sinking sun lights the clouds from below, the truest and the richest colors would unfold after some time. Be prepared as after some time it would get dark.
Locate for a good foreground subject and it can prove to be a great tip. We all might have seen some great sky every now and then, but the problem with the picture is usually not recognized. The focal point may be missing in most pictures, so give your picture that focal point. Try bringing some windmills, trees, buildings or power lines into the picture. Create a good silhouette.
Color your photo, as in fill your picture with colors. Make sure that you use your rule of thirds in all your pictures as a rule. Your picture should be a third of the way from the top, or from the bottom, for a balanced composition. Photographing sunset, your foreground will become silhouette, and if you follow the rule of thirds then your composition would be black. In this case ignore the rule of thirds. Dominate the sky in your composition, and fill it with colors. SLR digital cameras are your safest bet for this kind of photography, and film scanner can be used scanning those images.
