It helps in cutting down on deadly UV rays, otherwise which may result into eye-cataracts and other problems. One cannot see the UV blocker just by looking at it. However, here is a word of caution. Neither contacts can cover the complete eye nor can these UV blockers substitute the sun protection provided by sunglasses.

Hybrid Lenses: These special kind of contacts have a GP center along with a soft outer skirt which eventually makes the gain double for the user. Because it provides the crisp vision like a rigid lens as well as the silky comfort of a large soft lens.
