Interlinings: An Overview

Interlining is a layer of fabric that is inserted between the lining and face of a garment

, drapery or quilt. Similar to batting (wadding), Interlining is a thick fabric layer that offers insulation, loft, and body to pillow toppers, heavy winter jackets, etc. As per the application, the material in this layer can be knitted, woven or created by fusing fibers together. Types Of Interlinings

Non Fusible Interlining- It is used between two fabric layers directly by sewing, without application of heat and pressure. Non Fuse Interlining is also called Sewn Interlining. It is used in flame retardant apparels and safety apparels for people working in re-rolling mills.
