Using Social Media to promote your Home based business

I recently received an email from a member in my downline who wanted to know whether to use Social Media in her online marketing strategy.

She said that she didnt know much about it and also, wasnt sure about the value it would bring to her efforts.

My reply to her was like this.

Dear Isabelle,

I am happy to know that your efforts to promote the business continue and you are looking at newer and innovative techniques rather than just sticking to the norm.

I will try and keep this as brief as I can and not take too much of your time.

Firstly, the answer to your question is yes. Social Media is something that deserves as much attention as Search Engine Optimization. So, you must think seriously about incorporating it in your marketing campaign.

Heres why it is a must have in your campaign.

It gives you loads of traffic and a significant number of back links to your website, both of which are crucial in increasing the popularity of your online business.

The back links (not all of them will be relevant) will in turn lead to more traffic and at the same time, improve the ranking of your website.

The Traffic will not all be relevant also. A large amount of it will just read the article and click away. But if you stick to it and keep promoting with relevant content, then you will develop a loyal readership base which will keep coming back for more and also recommend your site to others, bringing in secondary traffic.

It is a low cost technique to promote your site. Think about the money you will need to spend to buy thousands of back links to your site or to drive quality traffic to your site.

It can compliment your other internet marketing efforts like Search Engine Optimization.
