This simply means using social networking sites, social media tools and article marketing to spread the word about whatever it is that you are passionate about.

Now that you know what internet marketing is, it isn't scary is it? You're not alone if you were thinking internet what?' Honestly the unknown is scary and, if you thought it was, you're not alone. It's still a new idea to a lot of people but getting into it and making an exciting new career out of it isn't difficult at all. However, like most things, you get out of it what you put into it.

There are stories of massive success. Skeptics will criticize and say the success stories are one in a million, it's too good to be true or that someone is making it up to be successful. While there are bits of truth in those statements, reality is success is not for the lazy. The hard work that allows you to eventually sit back and enjoy the ride is at the beginning. You will get out of it what you put into it.

Ask any rich person how they got to be rich and most of them, probably better than 90%, will tell you their story and it won't involve an easy path to unlimited wealth. It will be a story of hard work, wise decisions, picking something they are passionate about and having a desire to share it to better other people, which in turn made them better.

The heart and soul of internet marketing is exploiting opportunities to spread the word and create noise about yours! In a time when, really, we all need to stick together, helping others so we can help ourselves is a great idea that has the potential to reap benefits for everyone involved.
