As I prepare my designs I always tell my clients that the purpose of a website in today's market is to make money. Many people in the past got websites created uploaded them and sat back and waited, these types of brochure sites are no longer going to make money for businesses online.

The trick is to constantly update your site, change it regularly and add things to it to make it non static. In this way Google and other search engines will rank your site higher, therefore getting more hits and making more money. Adding a blog or forum to your site adds rich content that changes on a daily basis by other people, Google loves this. If you are getting a website designed, get your website designer to create a CMS or Content Management Site (System). This is a piece of software which is added to your site, so that you can physically manage your own website content by logging in with a username and password and simply update your site daily with new content.

However this is all well and good as there are a few clients of mine who do ask me about how can they retain the visitors who do come to their newly designed website but leave within seconds. What you need are visitors to your site to read, view and then buy your listed products. So how do you do this? Well there is a piece of software out there that can grab your visitors back to your site just as they are about to leave.

It's a piece of software that a visitor can't ignore and it doesn't intrude on their viewing of your site. It also doesn't impede on your site design. So if you are serious about making money online by getting people to stay on your website then you need to look at this.
