, is there any real need to attend live Internet Marketing training events?
Here are some other reasons why you should go to a live event, be it for Internet Marketing, Network Marketing, Attraction Marketing, or any other industry style event.
Training
The whole point of the event is the training, sometimes with a sales pitch, sometimes without. In either case, pick the right events with the training you need and it'll be worth the expense.
The best investment you can ever make is in yourself. The more skills you can offer the marketplace, the higher your value is, and according to some guy named Mike Dillard -

You can meet with the speakers and presenters and encourage them to divulge even more secrets than they did during their presentation. Make a quick video asking them for one more secret you can share to your followers to use on your blog or Social Media sites (this of the kudos of having a video of you with the biggest names in your industry on your site).
Relationship Building
Live events are a great place to network and meet people. Take some time to meet like-minded entrepreneurs and start building real relationships. You will meet people who may join your venture, or business opportunity - perhaps not at the event, but if you make the right impression, these relationships will continue long after the event and may lead to great things.
Get Your Name Out There
How can you make yourself known in a crowd of a thousand attendees? A good place to start is by networking - don't try and meet all the other attendees and all the presenters, be a little more picky, and a little more prepared.
Look for compatible like-minded people to network with, and make an effort to get to know them a little bit better than just a casual hello when you enter the room. You can find out if you share common goals in a few short minutes, and if you don't move along politely. If you do share some common goals, take a few extra minutes to swap contacts, arrange to meet or follow up after the session, and after the event.
Prepare Before You Go
Presumably, before you go, you will know what the event is about, and pretty much who the speakers are and what topics are going to be discussed. Use this knowledge and prepare some questions before you go. Quite possibly most, or all, will get answered, but any that don't you'll be able to ask or discuss at the event, and often times these unanswered questions make great material if you get a moment with a presenter.
