Internet Marketing Tips - Can You Compete With the Big Boys?

Simple question today. Can you compete with the big boys of marketing? A lot of new Internet marketers think that they can't. They believe that they've gotten into the game too late, that the big boys like Frank Kern and John Reese have things all sewn up. Well, before you go hang your head and cash in your chips, you might want to read this article. I think it will be a real eye opener.

For starters, the question you should be asking is not "Can you compete with the big boys" but "Do you have to compete with the big boys?" I think this is where a lot of new marketers are quite misinformed. They seem to think that the only way to make money online is to sell "how to make money" products. This couldn't be farther from the truth. There are plenty of niches out there that the big boys don't even go near. Okay, that's number one.

But let's assume, for argument sake, that you WANT to sell IM related products. Who says that just because you're not a big name that you can't? I certainly am not a big name and I do well enough selling IM related products. In fact, I've carved out a few nice sub niches for myself in this area. And while I'm not making seven figures a year like these guys are, my mortgage is paid and my daughter's college was paid for without having to take out a student loan. So I'm doing okay.

Point is, it's a big world out there. You'd be surprised how many people have never heard of Frank Kern or John Reese or any of the other big names. When I first started in Internet marketing some seven plus years ago, I didn't know any of the big names back then...nor did I care who they were. Heck, I didn't even know there WERE any big names. I thought everybody who did this was just a regular Joe like me. It's amazing how sometimes ignorance IS bliss. Imagine if I had been pumped with all the fear of competing with the big boys like people today are. I'd never have even tried.

Okay, got it? You don't have to compete with the top marketers. You can carve out your own little niche doing whatever you want. Just learn some fundamental marketing principles, work your tail off, and you'll find that you can make a nice living just being a John Doe.
