These are not as expensive as the industry specific, but they can still be pricey.

3) Free- Everyone loves that word. The price tag can be appealing to the novice as many do not have the large start up budgets to get the high end stuff. The internet is full of free marketing and sales tracking software to keep track of your efforts. Golden Nugget of the Day: Look into Open Office. This software will do much of the same activities as the more expensive Office packages and is free. You can save the money for a nice office chair or something.

Marketing and sales tracking software can be expensive if you let it be. You really need to save money where you can and spend it on more wise purchases such as an education in the marketing concepts. Find a solid marketing and mentoring program to get you off your feet. The right one can even show you have to market for virtually nothing as well.
