Internet T-1 Provider Bandwidth And The Rising Need

The internet is now common place in both the work place and homes alike

. It is used for communications as well as for finding out information about many things. The speed and reliability of the internet is a factor people are always trying to improve upon, a T1 line is able to achieve this.

Normal internet is delivered along a copper cable into a place of business or home, this cables are connected to a server which is generally connected to the rest of the web via fibre optic cables. The use of copper cables for the final leg of the journey can slow the internet down; this is where a faster connection can be had.

Fibre optic cables are connected to a workplace or a home directly when a T1 connection is made; this increases the bandwidth available to that location. Data is able to be received at around 1.54 Mbps a second, which compared to a regular broadband connection at 700 Kbps a second, is considerably faster.

Another advantage of using a connection like this is that a lot of users can use the internet of one connection without it slowing down. If more than four or five people use a normal connection the bandwidth is used up and a bottleneck occurs slowing the data transfer rate. This is avoided on a T1 because of the higher bandwidth.

Multiple high quality phone calls can also be made using this type of connection. The phone calls are digitized at the source of the call rather than at the phone company as would be done if the signal was sent down copper wire. T1 negates the need for many lines to be attached to a location in order to take many calls at once.

A T1 line provides a far more stable and speedier internet than a regular copper connection. Many users are able to use the internet at once without it slowing down meaning a companies productivity can be increased. Web pages will load faster and call quality will be higher as well using this type of line.
