Normal internet is delivered along a copper cable into a place of business or home, this cables are connected to a server which is generally connected to the rest of the web via fibre optic cables. The phone calls are digitized at the source of the call rather than at the phone company as would be done if the signal was sent down copper wire. T1 negates the need for many lines to be attached to a location in order to take many calls at once.
A T1 line provides a far more stable and speedier internet than a regular copper connection. Many users are able to use the internet at once without it slowing down meaning a companies productivity can be increased. Web pages will load faster and call quality will be higher as well using this type of line.
