"The most successful people invest in reading a few pages a day or a few quotes of inspirational or motivational material!"
KA-CHING!! You are now doing that by reading this bit of advice I am giving you! I will be posting two of these almost everyday so if you continue to read my posts like these or other motivational or inspirational material you are on your way to becoming a successful person in life like the others who read this type of material like the people described in the quote above. So if you are serious about becoming successful fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride as you read my articles that I post like this one. This is where the fun begins!
People who are successful are the ones who are very curious and low maintenance. They go out of their way to read books and inspirational quotes and they keep their minds open all the time. Successful people always have a student mentality and are always putting everything together that they learn about during their journey in their personal lives, professional lives and just their lives in general!
If you want to stay committed to being successful you should read at least ten pages a day of a book where you can learn how to better yourself or read a few articles with some inspirational material. Successful people also attend leadership conferences and listen to speakers at motivational events where they can shadow what others do to be successful and incorporate it into their own lives. If you want to succeed knowledge is the key and that is why you should always be listening to people and paying attention to detail and what you observe in life because you can use that as a tool for what works and what doesn't work later on down your journey.
Having a student mentality like this applies to anything in your lives. To keep it simple IF YOU CAN'T LEARN, YOU CAN'T EARN! Sometimes it takes a few books to read about how to reach your financial and professional goals and sometimes you might have to learn from your mistakes or other peoples' misjudgments for you to learn as long as you continue to make wise choices and not make mistakes on purpose.
It takes practice and investment in real world knowledge to meet your goals. Formal education is not what you need to make wise choices once you hit your real goals in life. Formal education is only a stepping stone in order to work for someone else.
It is the real life learning based on your own experiences and investment that will get you to your true goals! I am not bashing the education system and I believe that it is still important to have a good education in order to present yourself well in today's world and on your resume.
But what knowledge and learning experiences that you invest in on your own time will help achieve your real dreams! So go ahead and cuddle up with a good book at night based on what you want to accomplish in your lifetime whether it be about financial success, entertainment, political success, exercise or whatever will ring your bell! The knowledge you will earn will be worth more to you that any theory you ever learned in school!
So who said reading isn't fun or worthwhile? Only the guy who was blind!
